Information for Careers Advisers

At ACU National we understand and value that Careers Advisers play a vital role in the decision making process of Secondary school students.  Providing students with all of the information on career options and pathways is important.

Please attend our national Advisory Day on your local campus to hear from our new Vice-Chancellor about his vision for ACU National's future, to learn about the launch of our Early Achievers Program and discuss our new courses.

ACU National also recognises that getting into university should be about more than just students Year 12 results. For the first time this year ACU National will consider students contribution to thier local community for entry into university through our Early Achievers Program.

What can your students study?

ACU National is a recognised leader in education, nursing and exercise science and offer first-class programs in the social sciences, business and information technology, philosophy, theology and the liberal arts.

To give students an insight into university life and what our courses involve ACU National is running a program on all campuses called University Experience. This program will allow students to come on campus and participate in exciting activities focused on the course areas they are interested in. Students are encouraged to register online.

What pathways are available for students?

ACU National provides pathways programs for students full-fee paying Diploma and some Certificate courses in the Liberal Arts, Educational Studies, Environmental Science, Church Music, Social Science, Theology and Visual Arts and Design.  

What are the costs?

Costs vary depending on the subject undertaken throught out a course. General information on university fees and financial assistance is available.

What scholarships are available?

ACU National offers a number of scholarships, bursaries and prizes funded by the University Foundation and various benefactors. Some are open to all enrolled students; others are restricted to students in particular courses or at particular campuses. They are given at the discretion of the University and are subject to available funding.

School/TAFE Visits

We are happy to visit your school or TAFE class to provide information and answer questions about ACU National and about our courses, facilities, student services and graduate destinations.  We also participate in secondary school expos and year 10 selection nights.

Campus Tours

ACU National coordinate campus tours for secondary school/TAFE students, and mature age future students (either general tours or more customised tours for groups with an interest in a specific area of study are available). You can organise school group tours, or individual tours by emailing us at campustours@acu.edu.au
