New Students
Getting started
Your student card is your library card: you will need it to borrow. You can also use it to pay for photocopying, printing and library fines. Credit can be added to your account at the autoloader in the library. To access the library's online resources on and off-campus you will need your University network login. Reminders, notices and messages from the library will be sent to your student email address. More information about starting at university is available here.
Library resources
As well as books, journals, videos, CDs, DVDs and more, there is a huge amount of library information online. Library databases give you access to full-text information in eJournals and eBooks, as well as to image and music collections. Access to these is through the Databases and eJournals page on the library website. Use the library catalogue to locate resources on the shelves and online.
Training and help
The Libary runs Orientation tours at the beginning of semester which introduce you to the facilities and services. Check at your campus library for times. Information and training sessions, that will help you make the best use of the library's resources, are run throughout the year. More details about these are available at the Information Desk. The library website has Online Tutorials on a number of information topics, Subject Guides, which will help you find information for your research, as well as pages with information about Referencing.
If you need help:
- Come to the Information Desk and ask
- Ask your librarian online
Enjoy your time at ACU National.
