Changes to Database access from 1 October 2008

The Library is pleased to announce that from 1 October, the accessing of databases and other eresources from off campus will be via your ACU username and password.  Regardless of whether you are logging in via EZproxy or Metalib you will be able to use the same login details. No more worrying about grey and yellow padlocks!

There is, however, a downside to changing to the same login. Anyone who has set up alerts or saved searches in their Metalib (formerly go fetch) MyShelf will no longer have access to these. The saved searches and alerts are linked to the login used when they were created and thus will not be linked to the ACU logins. This means that you will need to re-create your saved searches and alerts using your ACU login details prior to 1 October.
