There are a total of 75 effective full-time Library staff, who either deliver service in a local campus library or perform a library-wide function, such as staff in the Electronic Services Unit, which coordinates access to digital information.
The Director of Libraries, Chris Sheargold, guides the development of the Library, working through the six managers who report to him. He is also responsible for ACUOnline, which provides technical and professional support for online teaching and learning. Chris represents the Library at the Council of Australian University Librarians.
The Library collection has more than 450,000 items, 650 paper serial titles and over 50,000 online databases, eJournals and eBooks. The Library is a member of the UNILINC cooperative, which hosts the Ex Libris Aleph 500 integrated library management sytem, which is used in daily operations.
