Short Term Programs

Customised short term programs can be delivered at our six campus locations across Australia. Our International Education team will assist in designing an enriching short term program to fit the academic, cultural and social requirements of your group.

Fees

  • 2-4 week program: AUD2000 - 2500 per person
  • 4-6 week program: AUD2500 - 3500 per person

The above prices include tuition, airport reception and local field trips.
A minimum of 10 students are required.

Accommodation will be AUD200-290 per person per week depending on the type of accommodation selected.

Program Details

Short term programs consist of academic units delivered on-site at the campus of your choice. Each unit will comprise of 40 contact hours delivered through a combination of lectures, workshops and field trips. The language of instruction is English.

Credit point system

Within ACU National, one unit of academic study has a value of 10 credit points. This is equivalent to 3-4 credits in the US university system or 7.5 in the ECTS system.

Study Areas

You can select a variety of subject areas, depending on the requirements of your group. Field Trips and Internships can also be incorporated. Popular study areas include Australian Culture, Environmental Studies, Aboriginal Studies and Asian Studies.

Activities and Field Trips

A welcome orientation activity is included in all programs as well as field trips to local businesses, community organisations or industry placements related to the field of study. All local field trips are included in the program fees. Additional social activities/excursions can be arranged for students at extra cost if requested in advance. We can provide you with a list of suggested activities for each city.

The following options are available for students participating in short term programs:

Home Stay

A local family provides accommodation in their home. Students will have a bedroom with linen provided, a place to study, and access to a bathroom, kitchen and other facilities in the home. Most meals are provided in the full-board home stay. Cost ranges from approximately $220 - $265 per week.

Share Apartment

Specialised apartment accommodation is available near most campuses, with costs varying from $250-$300 per week.

Brisbane offers apartments located close to Brisbane City but also on major public transport routes to access to university campus. Each apartment is fully furnished, and includes a fully-equipped kitchen. The cost for a shared apartment would be approximately AUD$200 –$290 per person per week.
