Bachelor of Nursing

Nurses are an integral part of any health system and are constantly in demand.  Become a Registered Nurse and work in a variety of hospital, clinic or community settings.

  • 3 years duration
  • Available in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Ballarat
  • Students will complete a total of 840 hours of clinical placement in a hospital or private clinic organised by ACU.
  • Graduates are eligible for registration as a Division 1 Nurse and are recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Are you a registered Nurse?

ACU may grant advanced standing to students who have:
  • completed a three-year post-secondary diploma in nursing, and
  • hold a nurse licence/registration.
In most cases, one year (eight subjects) of credit will be granted. You must have completed your professional nursing course within seven (7) years of enrolling at ACU.

Master of Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration will give you the skills and knowledge needed to take a leadership role in a diverse range of health care settings.
  • 1.5 years duration
  • Available in Brisbane
You can choose to take a coursework or research stream within the course:
  • The coursework stream consists of project work or a combination of project and an elective (total value of 40 credit points).
  • The research stream consists of a research dissertation valued at 40 credit points.
Graduates may seek employment in community, government and private health care and education facilities in education, health administration and research.

Master of Nursing (Practice Inquiry)

This Masters degree will teach you how to conduct clinical audits and quality improvement projects in any health care setting to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.
  • 1 year in duration
  • Available in Brisbane
  • Includes practice-oriented coursework combined with a nursing inquiry project supervised by an ACU academic
Graduates may employ their skills and knowledge in government and/or private health care facilities, research and health promotion.
