Things to do in Sydney
There are so many things to do in Sydney – the challenge is finding enough time to do them all! From pristine beaches to great night life, there is something for everyone. All of this is accessible with Sydney’s extensive public transport services, including trains, buses and ferries.
Check out these must do activities in Sydney:
- Visit famous Bondi Beach
- Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge and see panoramic views from the top of the Australian icon.
- Take a day trip to the beautiful Blue Mountains
- Visit Newtown, Surry Hills and Glebe for cafes, bars and nightlife, vintage and alternative shopping and markets.
- Check out historic the Rocks precinct with its weekend markets, specialty stores and the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art.

Arrival and Orientation
The expected arrival day for all students is the Friday before the week in which your class commences. International students arriving in Sydney will be collected from the airport and taken to their accommodation.
All students who are new to Sydney will be provided with a Welcome Pack containing essential information to help you get started, including maps of the university, campus and city, transport information and tourist guides on things to see/do around Sydney.
On the morning of your first class, there will be a welcome and orientation program. You will meet your ACU July School staff, and other July School students. ACU July School staff will travel with you to the North Sydney Campus and provide you with a tour of the campus facilities.
