Orientation is extremely important.  You should make every effort to arrive at your campus in time to attend.

Orientation consists of two parts. The first is specifically for international students. It will provide you with advice on studying in Australia, on the conditions of your student visa, and it will help you adjust to the Australian culture and assist you with academic skills. It also includes tours and events designed to familiarise you with your campus. The second part is the wider University Program where you will join with local students.

The program will:

  • Introduce you to the services and facilities at ACU.
  • Give you important information about studying at ACU and living in Australia to help with your transition.
  • Advise you on local government services and the local community.
  • Give you the opportunity to make friends with your fellow classmates and senior students just before starting your course.
  • Give you the opportunity to meet the staff from different areas of the university.
  • Incorporate enrolment activities into the orientation week.

Orientation July 2012

Orientation will commence on Monday July 23 and all international students should attend. At Orientation you will meet the staff and learn about the services available to you at ACU. You will also meet new people, get to know the campus, and learn more about accommodation and OSHC. It is essential that you attend Orientation as it will give you the information you need to have the best possible start to your new course.

Further details regarding Orientation (including orientation programs for each campus) will be posted on the website shortly!
