World’s biggest English Lesson at Sydney's famous Bondi Beach

Earlier this month, students from ACU’s English Language Centre joined over 3000 students from 62 different countries in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘World’s Biggest English Lesson’. The class was held under beautiful blue skies at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach.

ACU students took place in many competitions, including an online photo competition which included a top prize of a scooter, as well as the lesson itself.

The event was streamed live over the internet and also covered by many media outlets including Channel 7 and SBS news. One ACU student said: “It was an amazing opportunity to interact with people from all over the world, and show how much we love studying in Sydney”. Several students also commented on how activities like this provided practical opportunities to practice and develop their English language skills. The students all agreed that the day was fun and educational.
