English Proficiency
Proficiency in English is required for entry to all academic studies at ACU.
Current Year 12 Students
If you are currently studying Year 12 in Australia, the University will assess the results from your English subject to determine your English proficiency.
Other International Students
All other international students will need to demonstrate their English proficiency according to the University's English Language Proficiency Requirements.
ACU English Test
Take the ACU English Test on-campus in Brisbane, North Sydney or Melbourne. You can take this test instead of IELTS or TOEFL to demonstrate your English proficiency for admission to the University for courses which have a requirement of IELTS 7.0 or less. This test cannot be used for admission to teacher education courses.
ACU English Language Programs
Study an ACU English Language Program to improve your English skills for University study. If you are unsure which program is best suited to you, view English to University Pathways, take a Placement Test or contact the International Office for advice.
