History

The campus has a history dating back to the 1880’s when Mary MacKillop’s Sisters of St Joseph established a teacher training school at North Sydney. At the end of 1990, the Catholic College of Education Sydney formally handed over responsibility for the College to ACU National.

You can reach us by bus, train, car or ferry.

  • Travelling by bus - many Sydney Buses services stop within easy walking distance of North Sydney campus.
  • Travelling by train - the campus is approximately 5-10 minutes walk from North Sydney station which is a main station of the CityRail network.
  • Travelling by car - Limited-time metered parking and paid parking stations are located within walking distance of the campus. Unfortunately, there is no parking available on campus grounds for students.
  • Travelling by ferry - Nearby ferry wharfs include North Sydney, Kirribilli and Milson’s Point.

Atmosphere

Small, multicultural, friendly. Set in a quiet residential area, North Sydney campus life is centred around a large outdoor courtyard and student recreational area where students congregate between classes.
