Facilities at Melbourne Campus (St Patrick's) (text version)
- Tram
- Tram 109 stops directly outside the St Patrick's Campus and runs to the city.
- Entry
- Main entrance to the University from Victoria Parade.
- Cafe 115
- The cafe offers coffee, light meals, cakes and snacks and is open five days per week. The campus also has a Student Cafeteria as a second eating area.
- Chapel
- Mass is conducted each week and students are welcome to attend. The chapel also is open at other times for quiet reflection. A multi-faith prayer room is also available behind the chapel.
- Raheen Library
- The library is open seven days per week during semester, and five days per week during the holiday breaks. Students are able to access library computers, wireless internet, online Library resources, photocopiers and printers, a desktop scanner and group study areas.
- Raheen Library Upstairs
- The Library collection, across all ACU National campuses, has more than 450,000 items, 650 paper serial titles and over 50,000 online databases, eJournals and eBooks. Various reciprocal arrangements have also been made with libraries in other universities, which extend the resources available to students.
- Student Lounge
- "The Vault" Student Lounge is a common space for students to socialise and relax between classes. It includes pool tables, air hockey, video games and bar. A quiet room is also available nearby.
- Exercise Science
- The Exercise Science laboratories cater for the sub-disciplines of exercise physiology, anthropometry, biomechanics, anatomy and motor control.
- Lecture Theatre Building
- Located on Young Street, beside the main campus, this building holds the Mercy and Christ Lecture Theatres. It is provides an entrance to the Central Hall, Recital Room, and Art Gallery buildings.
- Mercy Lecture Theatre
- The lecture theatre seats 135 people and contains computer and overhead projection facilities. There are ten other lecture theatre facilities on the St Patrick's Campus, with seating ranging from 60 seats up to 300 seats.
- Art Studio
- The art studio contains a print studio as well as 2D and 3D studies studios. It also includes an art gallery which opens out onto Brunswick Street, an area renowned for its variety of cafes, shops and art galleries.
- Central Hall
- Central Hall was first opened in 1903 and has been a significant part of the Fitzroy landscape and the cultural life of Melbourne. The auditorium seats 180 people and has recently undergone a $3million restoration.
- International Office & Student Services
- There is a dedicated International Student Adviser for international students, as well as many support services such as Academic Skills, Counselling, Disability Support and Mission Engagement.
- Bookshop
- The bookshop is open five days per week and holds textbooks, general stationery and gift items for purchase by students and staff.
- Nursing Labs
- The Nursing Labs are designed to simulate hospital wards, and they are used by nursing students to learn practical skills in their course.
- Computer Labs
- The campus holds 110 computer stations with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office applications, and student email.
- Science Classroom
- Nursing, Arts and Education students use this classroom for practical learning in their courses.
- Diploma Classroom
- Students in English Language and Diploma Pathway Programs take classes in this classroom and others very similar.
- Postgraduate Lab
- Postgraduate students are given access to private computer study rooms with computer facilities.
- Outside Area
- The campus provides small areas with outdoor seating and some with lunch tables for students.
- Business Lecture Room
- This lecture room is located within the School of Business and Informatics. It seats 100 people, and contains computer and overhead projection facilities as well as four presentation screens.
