Planning A Reunion

A reunion is a fantastic way to catch up with old friends, meet with people you may not have seen for many years and perhaps make some new contacts. Once at a reunion graduates can reminisce about ‘old times’ and learn about what their classmates have been doing in the time since university.

Typically, reunions are held to mark a particular anniversary since graduating or to mark a special occasion.

What can Graduate Relations do to help

Organising a reunion is no easy task—graduates may have spread far and wide and can be difficult to track down; venues need to be booked and events organised; your reunion needs to be promoted— the good news is that we can help with all of these things!

The Graduate Relations Office can:

  • Promote your upcoming reunion on the Graduate Association website.
  • Contact the members of your cohort (via email) that the reunion is coming up.
  • Put you in touch with Campus Operations if you need to organise on-campus venues for functions.
  • Advise you how to contact staff whom you may like to invite to your reunion.
  • Provide you with Graduate Association membership forms for graduates who are not yet members— this will make it easier for you to contact them when your next reunion comes around!

When all’s said and done, The Graduate Relations Office can:

  • Post a review of your reunion and a photograph on our website;
  • Add any new members to the Graduate Association;
and
  • Keep members of the Graduate Association up-to-date with information about any future events
