Student Aid Fund

Assist students in extreme hardship

  • If you choose to give to the Student Aid Fund you can give someone the chance of a university education

The cost of living is very expensive wherever you live today. Accommodation, food and medical expenses are all factors which can cause a student financial stress. Many fall behind at university as these stresses increase or other circumstances beyond their control arise. For some the risk of homelessness is real.

Here at ACU we support all our students however some require more support than others. The Student Aid Fund allows students to apply for assistance with living costs if they are in extreme hardship. Equity Pathways officers assess the students situation and if it may truly improve by receiving extra financial support we offer this safety net.

Migmer's story

At just 13-years-old, Migmer was jailed for peaceful protest. At 16, she fled Tibet without her family, escaping with no documents through the Himalayas at night to avoid being caught by border police.

After years of incredible adversity, Migmer made it to Australia. She is now studying at ACU, working towards her life-long dream of becoming a nurse and working for Red Cross.

Please, help other disadvantaged students like Migmer and support the ACU Student Aid Fund by giving now.

By giving to this fund you are supporting students who are disadvantaged and experience extraordinary hardship. Every gift, no matter how small, makes a difference in these students' lives.

Thank you for giving our students the chance to succeed.
