New South Wales

ACU National's School of Education (NSW)

We offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to prepare graduates to assume the responsibilities of teachers, educational leaders and community educators in the service of the education profession and the wider community.

  • Our courses prepare teachers for Primary and Secondary schools in NSW, both Government and non-Government.
  • Some courses are especially designed for Indigenous Australians who may wish to teach in Primary or Secondary schools.
  • Our courses in Habilitation (the process of empowering and enabling people with disabilities to participate fully in the community) offer students already working, or those interested in working in the disability field an opportunity to develop their professional skills.

Undergraduate Research

There is increasing attention to research in the undergraduate teacher education and community education courses. The high quality of the students' work is an excellent basis for presenting their work in conferences and later in refereed publications.

Postgraduate Research

The School of Education (NSW) welcomes research students specialising in education and related topics. The academic staff of the School are highly experienced in the supervision of research students.

  • For information about courses offered by the School of Education, please refer to the Faculty of Education's list of courses.
