Events at ACU National

University Experience  

ACU National’s six campuses will each host a University Experience event during 2008.

University Experience is a program designed to allow future students the opportunity to interact with academic staff and current students, to try out the course they are interested in studying, and to experience a truly hands on sample of life at university.

The program offers interactive sessions in Nursing, Primary and Early Childhood Education, Social Work and World Religion.

Open Day 2008  

ACU National’s six campuses will open their doors to prospective students throughout 2008 as part of the Open Day program.

Prospective students from secondary school to non-recent school leavers, along with their families, are invited to discover their local campus, hear from lecturers about the courses available and speak with current students about what is really like to study at ACU National.


Brisbane Campus (McAuley at Banyo) - Wednesday July 23, 5.30 to 8pm

Melbourne Campus (St. Patrick’s) – Sunday 17 August, 10am to 4pm

Canberra Campus (Signadou) – Saturday 30 August, 9am to 4pm

Ballarat Campus (Aquinas) – Sunday 31 August, 10am to 3pm

North Sydney Campus (MacKillop) – Wednesday 10 September

Strathfield Campus (Mount Saint Mary) – Saturday 13 September

Queensland Catholic Education Week   

The Brisbane Campus (McAuley at Banyo) will lead celebrations for the Queensland Catholic Education Week, which will run from 27 July to 2 August, with the theme Faith in Our Youth.

Initiated by the Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC), the week will be launched by Auxiliary Bishop of Brisbane Joseph Oudeman OFM at an opening ceremony at ACU National’s Brisbane Campus Chapel on Tuesday 29 July.

The launch event will feature a performance from a combined choir representative of the Catholic education community, including students from lower primary through to tertiary level and staff of ACU National.  A highlight of the launch will be the presentation of awards to recipients of the Spirit of Catholic Education awards.
