Visual Arts and Design

Our Visual Arts and Design course is a broad, foundational course which systematically studies diverse aspects of art and design. It aims to prepare you for a range of careers in visual arts and design.

Through out the course you will obtained a balanced mix of studio-based art, graphic design, and art and design history and theory. The University has art galleries in which you gain practical experience with exhibitions.

Students gain a hands-on understanding in the production of visual art and design. You engage in the fundamental relationships that exist between two-dimensional media areas such as drawing, painting, printmaking and photography, and three and four-dimensional areas such as sculpture, ceramics, video production and object design, as well as graphic design leading to animation. Students are introduced to current computer hardware and software design applications used in the graphics and media industries.
