"ACU National offers a unquie study environment for international students. As an international migrant with my family overseas, the University has become my second home.
My interest in community development and in working with marginalised young people inspired me to study the Bachelor of Theology / Bachelor of Social Work.
The degree will equip me with the skills and experience necessary to respond to people in need of pastoral and social care. I have already been exposed to some of the greater life challenges and my degree has taught me to see and experience life in new ways.
Through university I have had opportunities to meet other young people with similar interests and aspirations in regard to community development.
I was a member of the 2007 National Youth Rountable, an initiative of the Australian Government designed to encourage contribution and participation of young people in youth-related projects. The program provides opportunities to travel around Australia and speak at conferences such as the 2007 international metropolis conference in Melbourne.
When I finish my degree I would love to work as an international aid worker and positively influence the lives of marginalised young people away from home."
