Description
The Certificate in Social Science is a non-award course available as a UniAccess-Australia program.
The aim is to provide an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to study a selection of units of interest to them in a program that offers a pathway to an award course. The course is offered on a fee-paying basis and is available to Australian students.
This course is designed for students interested in a broadly-based program that integrates the study of behavioural science, sociology and Australian society with a choice of other subjects and the development of communication skills.
The course assists students to prepare for a diversity of careers in the human services in government and public and community-based agencies.
Pathways to Further Study
A UniAccess-Australia student who successfully completes four units specified by a UniAccess program may either leave with a Certificate qualification and/or make a direct application to ACU, against specified criteria, for a place in the Bachelor of Social Science (or other Commonwealth-supported courses). All applications will be considered on the basis of academic merit.
