Description
The Associate Degree in Social Science (Aged Care) course is designed to help people provide quality lifestyle facilitation for older people.
The course content gives students the opportunity to increase levels of knowledge and understanding of the profession, becoming more effective service providers in the workplace. This is a fully accredited university course.
Career Paths
Employment opportunities as lifestyle facilitators/carers exist in the human services areas of aged care. Graduates of this course, who have experience as facilitators/carers, are favourably considered for supervisory/mid-management positions within the industry.
Professional Recognition
This course is recognised by the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia (Level 1 accredited Diversional Therapy course) and a number of employment agencies and organisations in the area of aged care.
