Do you want to play a part in shaping public discussion and debate? Can you see yourself working in the media industry, in Australia or overseas?
Our new media communication course will equip you with skills in a range of media including video, radio and print with both theoretical and practical perspectives.
The Bachelor of Media Communication offers breadth, flexibility and diversity of experience with a focus on social justice and diversity.
You will be trained to play an important role in helping to ensure that the media is used for the common good. You will gain the skills to question media activities and challenge them where appropriate.
This course also offers electives in drama, literature, history, marketing, music, politics and visual arts opening up a wide variety of career paths for graduates.
Industry experience
You will undertake workplace training through an internship, providing you with valuable industry experience. The blend of theoretical and practical experience gained will be invaluable for your future career in media communication.
In the studio-based units such as Radio Production and Screen Production, you will be given the opportunity to make short audio productions and films covering contemporary issues in society.
