Exercise Science

Australian Catholic University's (ACU National) exercise science courses are broken into areas that have very distinct career paths and students can choose the right one for them.

Do you have a keen interest in the application of scientific principles through to the promotion, maintenance and enhancement of sport and exercise-related activities? If so then the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science is for you. The Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science course is perfect for students who wish to have a career as a PE teacher.

Industry Experience

Field experience is a mandatory part of both courses as this enables students to gain relevant individual professional experiences and provide the opportunity to acquire a selection of relevant practical skills and competencies.

Career pathways

The career opportunities available to sport and exercise scientists are ever expanding. Exercise science graduates can pursue a variety of careers in the fitness, hospitality, PE teaching, coaching or tourism industries. Alternatively, they may choose a career in sports psychology, sports rehabilitation, or the medical/clinical and corporate health sectors.
