The Bachelor of Marketing will give you the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in marketing. You will learn how to:

  • design, develop, implement and manage effective marketing strategies
  • understand consumer behaviour
  • use market research effectively
  • know what factors to consider when pricing, distributing and promoting products and services in different markets
  • understand marketing from an ethical viewpoint.

This marketing degree will also give you professional industry experience that will link your studies to the “real world” of work and improve your employability on graduation.

Important Note on Fees

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

New South Wales
Prerequisites: English.

Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA).

Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English

Prior to 1 March  2016, International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency  requirements as defined in the Admissions Rules.

From  1 March 2016, International students need to meet the English Language  Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

Students must complete a Professional Experience unit involving professional placement within a business organisation (in the relevant discipline area) over a period of 140 hours.

An additional requirement of the degree is a Professional Experience unit where students engage in voluntary work within a not-for-profit organisation over a period of 105 hours.

Domestic Students
