Eligibility |
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules. Apply to relevant state Tertiary Admissions Centre. To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent: New South Wales Queensland Victoria |
Applicants require the equivalent of Australian Year 12 certificate and an overall academic IELTS score of 6.0 (with minimum scores of 6.0 in speaking and writing, and 5.5 in listening and reading). |

Description
This course prepares students for a variety of occupations in the field of business information systems including technical, user and customer support. Emphasis is placed on the role of computer technologies in contemporary organisations. The study of business information systems goes beyond computer hardware and software. It involves understanding the decision-making structures within an organisation and building business information systems to support the needs of decision makers. Students learn the technical skills together with the human and business skills needed to apply and manage these skills in an organisation.
One compulsory unit of Professional Industry Experience is also incorporated in the degree. The Professional Industry Experience gained over the three years is designed to assist students to link their studies to the real world of work, and to assist in gaining career employment on graduation.
