Types of Scholarships
Commonwealth Scholarships for Indigenous students
Commonwealth Scholarships (CS) for Indigenous students are intended to facilitate choice in higher education and to increase participation of students from low socio-economic backgrounds by providing them with some financial assistance. There are three (3) types of Commonwealth Scholarships available to Indigenous students:
- Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarships (CECS - Ordinary); up to 4 years
- Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarships (CAS - Ordinary); up to 4 years
- Indigenous Access Scholarships (IAS); one off payment
Institution Equity Scholarships
ACU will award 20 Institution Equity Scholarships (IES) each year. These are the ACU Equity Bursaries and they are intended to increase participation of students from low socio-economic backgrounds by providing them with some financial assistance.
