Visual Arts and Design
Artists and designers of the future need to be able to work across disciplines, collaborate with artists and designers in other fields, be literate in new technologies, have a broad understanding of their place in the history of art and design practice, and be conversant with current debates in cultural theory.
The Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Arts and Design and the Master of Visual Arts and Design enable students to further their knowledge and experience of the practices of the visual arts or design disciplines. The courses provide opportunities for graduates wishing to extend their three-year undergraduate period of study in visual arts and design and are intended to cater for those from of a wide range of professions in the visual arts and design disciplines, as well as for those motivated by personal interest in the academic study of these disciplines.
