An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1. four years of an accredited undergraduate psychology sequence, comprising a first class honours degree in psychology;
  2. for short-listed candidates, interview with the selection committee;and
  3. two referee reports: one professional/personal and one academic.

An applicant with Honours IIA will be eligible to apply for a place in the combined degree following completion of at least 80 cp at an appropriate level in the Master of Psychology.

ACU Funded Research Higher Degree

ACU funds Research Higher Degree students for their term of study. Note: funding does not refer to coursework components of the combined MPsych/PhD degree. Students must pay Library Fees. Some students may be eligible for RTS places. Continuation of Candidature is dependent upon the candidate adhering to Research Higher Degree Regulations and maintaining satisfactory academic progress. This is monitored twice annually with the completion of a mandatory Academic Progress Report whereby the candidate and Principal/Co-Supervisors agree on the student's progress.
