This course aims to enhance the practice of health professionals by expanding their knowledge and skills in Clinical Education. Students may exit the course after completing four specific units and will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Clinical Education).

Exit Point

A student who has completed 40 cp from Clinical Education units from Part A in the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education award.

Eligibility

An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1. Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent;
  2. at least twelve months relevant clinical/practical experience; and
  3. be eligible for registration as a nurse or endorsed midwife in the country of initial qualification.

Applicants must have an overall academic IELTS of 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all tests) as well as:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent; and
  • Have completed at least twelve months relevant clinical/practical experience; and
  • Eligibility for nurse registration in the country of initial qualification

Description

The Master of Health Science program is designed to enhance the practice of health care professionals by expanding their knowledge and skills in Clinical Education. Graduates will be able to contribute to values-based professional practice in todays dynamic and challenging health service environments through new and creative approaches to clinical education.

The course has a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education exit point after students complete 40cp of specific study in Clinical Education.
