Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership

Recent Australian research has established that when teachers perceive themselves as leaders and are able to engage as leaders in the teaching and learning process, schools are transformed as learning communities.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership is directed towards educators who want to be people of influence in education. The units provide context and experience to assist students to understand concepts such as authentic leadership and management, learning communities, spirituality, professional development, quality learning and educational change. All concepts are expressed within the context of Christian values and the Catholic tradition.

An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.

Applicants must have an overall academic IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in every band) plus the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor Degree in Education, or first degree in an area other than Education plus a Graduate Diploma in Education. |

The Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership is directed towards educators who want to be people of influence in education. The units provide context and experience to assist students to understand concepts such as authentic leadership and management, learning communities, spirituality, professional development, quality learning and educational change. All these concepts are expressed within the context of Christian values and the Catholic tradition.
It will be possible for students who complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership to later apply for the Master of Educational Leadership and seek credit for the units already completed.
Note: The Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership course is also offered in other locations in Australia, depending on demand, in New Zealand and in Mauritius. Other locations in the Asia-Pacific region may also be available, dependent on student demand.
