The Master of Commerce allows specialised study in the fields of Marketing, Human Resource Management and Business Information Systems.

Graduates will be able to advance their career through a postgraduate award that leads to enhanced professional recognition, or a higher degree by research, and potentially an academic or research future in their chosen field. As part of the Masters, you undertake workplace-based, or industry-related research projects. This will extend your learning into practical investigation and analysis of relevance to your future career and professional interests.

On graduating you will have a sound understanding of corporate governance, business ethics and your chosen specialisation. Moreover, the incorporation into the course of national and international accreditation standards equips you to gain employment as a well-rounded, knowledgeable and skilled professional.

All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a full-time study load of 40 credit points (normally 4 units) per semester.

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • the number of units studied per semester;
  • the choice of major or specialisation; and
  • elective units.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1. Equivalent of an Australian bachelor’s degree in any discipline (the equivalent of an Australian bachelor's degree in a related discipline will be eligible for up to four units credit); OR
  2. A Graduate Certificate in a related discipline.

International applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admissions Rules.

Important Note on Fees

The Tuition fees quoted above are for commencing students in the current year who undertake a normal full-time load. The Unit Fee is based on a 10cp unit. Fees are reviewed annually.

Tuition fees for continuing students may increase by up to 3 percent each year for the minimum duration of the course as provided on your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE). Students who continue to study beyond the minimum duration will have the relevant annual commencing rate applied to their fees for subsequent study periods.

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have an overall academic IELTS of 6.5 (with an individual score of 6.0 for all tests) and have completed the following prerequisites:
