Professional Development Series

ACUcom provides sessions designed to build the skills, knowledge and confidence of School Officers and Teacher Aides to assist students in a school environment.

The sessions cover a range of topics useful for those working in primary, secondary and special school environments including:

  • Strategies for working with children with additional needs and learning differences
  • Tool Box Workshop – tips and tricks to support all learners
  • Auslan and Spoken Language for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in mainstream
  • Strategies for supporting students with autism spectrum disorder in the mainstream classroom

Our practical workshops are aligned to core and elective units within the current training package for Certificate III and IV in Education Support. Teachers and Parents are also welcome to attend.
