This course is the minimum qualification requirement for those wanting to work in the early childhood education and care sector. This course provides the skills and knowledge for early childhood educators who are responsible for providing care and education support for children aged between zero to five years.
This course involves a substantial workplace practical placement in variety of regulated education and care services, totalling a minimum of 280 hours across three placement blocks. These placements will occur with at least two differing age groups (children aged under two years and children aged over three years). You will be assisted by ACU in finding suitable placements in a regulated education and care services. All students require a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Graduates of this course will gain a guaranteed entry into ACU College’s Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
