This course is available to international applicants who hold a valid visa. International applicants requiring a student visa, cannot apply for this course as a stand-alone course for the purposes of attaining a student visa.

For domestic students, the cost of language units in this course is only $820 per unit.

ACU offers undergraduate students across all faculties the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Languages in conjunction with an ACU undergraduate degree so that you graduate with a bachelor degree and a diploma in the same timeframe. The course is part time, so you take one language unit in any study period. Units are offered in Summer Term, Semester 1 and Semester 2.

The diploma is open to members of the university and to the community, and individual language units can also be taken on a non-award basis.

The Diploma in Languages focuses on developing communicative language skills through active practice.

Important Note on Fees

All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a full-time study load of 40 credit points (normally 4 units) per semester.

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • the number of units studied per semester;
  • the choice of major or specialisation; and
  • elective units.

The University reviews fees annually.

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must:-

  1. be enrolled in an ACU bachelor degree and have completed a minimum of 40 credit points; or
  2. have completed the equivalent of year 12 level.

International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
