Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education

The Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education is a 40 credit point, 6 month full-time (or equivalent part-time) entry level graduate award course which aims to prepare graduates to fulfil the role of an inclusive educator in a variety of educational settings. It is designed to meet the professional standards of significant institutions such as the NSW Institute of Teachers.
The course consists of four core units, each of 10 credit points. It is taken in intensive mode outside the normal University semester timetable. The course does not provide a qualification for registration as a teacher.
Summary
This course is not available for international students except in limited cases.

Professional Recognition
This is a higher education qualification and, while it has been designed to meet the requirements of professional bodies, it is not subject to any external professional regulatory body.Other Prerequisites to Undertaking this Course
International students must obtain and present their relevant police check from their home country and from any other country/ies where they have been domiciled for twelve months or more in the last ten years. These police checks must be sighted and authenticated before students will be permitted to undertake a professional experience placement in schools.All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom. These are: Blue Card (Qld), Working with Children Check (ACT, Victoria and NSW).English Language Requirements
Applicants who have a pass in English (any) in Australia, may fulfil the English language requirement with an IELTS score of 7.5. Evidence of English Language proficiency will not be required for applicants who have successfully completed a minimum of two years of formal study which has been conducted entirely in English in a country where English is the official language.
