Prerequisites

1. Evidence of two year' sustained practice in meditation;
2. Two referees' reports, one from a personal and one from a professional referee familiar with the applicant's meditative experience ; and
3. A satisfactory interview re suitability for the course.

Course Description

The Certificate in Guiding Meditation is a non-award course that will provide a focus for training meditators in leadership roles in schools, hospitals, youth groups and parishes. The course will accommodate the needs of students from a range of Western and Eastern Christian traditions, whilst also referring to other faith traditions. The course is offered in conjunction with the School of Prayer in the Office of Evangelisation, Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. The aims are to improve the practice and understanding of Christian and other forms of meditation in Australia.
