Spotlight on Scholarships – Searching for a Scholarship
With so many scholarships on offer, figuring out where to start can be overwhelming. Luckily, the scholarships browser can help you refine your options, leaving you with a list of scholarships tailored to your individual circumstances.
What categories can I search by?
You can use the scholarships browser to search for scholarships specific to things like your campus, your faculty and your citizenship.
There is also an option to search for scholarships open specifically to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, community service volunteers, rural or regional applicants, or scholarships related to placement or travel.
When will scholarships open?
Many scholarships are already open. You can view the opening and closing dates for each when you visit the scholarships browser. If you only want to view those that are open now, select the tick box to ‘Hide scholarships that are currently closed’.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
You can apply for as many scholarships as you like, providing you meet the eligibility criteria.
What if I can’t find a scholarship that’s relevant to me?
If you don’t meet the criteria for any of the ACU-specific scholarships, we also keep a list of external scholarships offered by other organisations. These scholarships tend to be more general in their criteria but are open to students from other institutions as well.
Can I receive more than one scholarship at the same time?
Yes, you can hold more than one scholarship – the value of the scholarship is more important than the number you hold. You can receive multiple scholarships from ACU as long as the combined value does not exceed $10,000 per year. This doesn’t include government scholarships or any other scholarships from outside of ACU.
Now that you’re acquainted with the scholarships browser, what are you waiting for?
