Broadly, scholarships can be grouped into one of two categories.
These scholarships are for students who have demonstrated excellence in some area, such as academic, community service, or leadership. An example of a merit scholarship is the ACU Academic Excellence Scholarship, which recognises high achieving undergraduate students across all faculties.
These scholarships are to support students who have faced financial hardship or disadvantages in accessing higher education due to background, disabilities or regional location.An example of an equity scholarship is theACU Law – Equity scholarship, which assists students studying law from low socio-economic backgrounds.
