ACU students return home from Beijing 2008

25 August 2008: Australian Catholic University (ACU) congratulates our students who represented Australia at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and welcomes them as they return home.

Krystal, along with team mates Karyn Gojnich and Angela Farrell, competed in the women’s Yngling team. They put in some good early scores to get them through to the medal race. However, a late disqualification left them 10th overall.

School of Arts and Sciences (VIC)

Carmen advanced to the quarter-finals and was close to the medal hunt, but courtesy of the unpredictable draw she was unable to push for some precious metal.

School of Exercise Science (VIC)

Coral and Bethany competed in the 9 member Synchronised Swimming Team final. The girls finished 7th overall with a combined tally of 82.167 points.
