Eligibility to Apply
ACU requires all applicants to provide evidence that they have the appropriate qualifications experience and skills to undertake the position they are applying for. In turn ACU has a legal requirement to ensure that applicants have the appropriate work rights, permissions and security checks where relevant to be employed at ACU.
Sponsorship
One of the University's key stated priorities is to recruit outstanding staff who can contribute to the Mission of the University and the achievement of its strategic goals. The University recognises that from time to time, such staff may be recruited from overseas.
Overseas applicants for identified positions may be employer-sponsored for appropriate working visas. For further information on Australian citizenship or working visas, please visit the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
For all other positions, you will be asked to produce verification of your citizenship, immigration status and entitlement to work legally in Australia.
Pre-employment validation
Where required by law or relevant to a particular position, ACU may conduct some or all of the following employment screening checks:
- Reference check
- A Working With Children check
- A Criminal record check
Internal Only Positions
‘Internal Applicants Only’ eligibility for positions
To apply for internal only positions, you must be a current ACU National continuing, fixed term or casual staff member at the time of the advertisement.
