HECS-HELP Step-by-step
Before completing this form you must read the HECS-HELP Information 2010 booklet which is available at the Student Centre or online at the Going to Uni website.
Important
Under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) all Commonwealth supported students (including students who are not eligible, or, do not want to request HECS-HELP) must submit a Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form on or before the census date for the first study period they are enrolled in.
Students who fail to submit this form will have their enrolment cancelled.

To access the online Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form:
- Login to Student Connect
- Select My Enrolment
- Select Enrol into Units
- Advise if you have a disability or select Continue
- Select Apply for Commonwealth support, HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP Assistance
- Select the term you will enrol in units eg 2010 Semester 1
- Check your personal details (if your details are incorrect, please contact your local Student Centre)
- Scroll down to 8a and enter your Tax File Number if you choose to obtain a HECS-HELP loan
- Scroll down to 11 and select your payment option
- Tick the I agree checkbox
- Click the Submit button
- The receipt screen will then be displayed. Print this screen for your records.
