Scholarships

ACU National offers a number of scholarships for commencing and continuing students.

Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance

For each study period, the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR) cross-check students enrolment details against their files to ascertain their eligibility to receive Austudy, Abstudy or Youth Allowance entitlements.

Where discrepancies occur, Centrelink will contact students requiring repayment of benefits. Students must ensure that their enrolment is recorded correctly.

A student must enrol in 75% of their course full-time load for the year, ie a study load of 0.375 EFTSL or greater in a standard study period. A students load for the study period is printed on the Invoice/Receipt in Student Connect.

Further information on Austudy, Abstudy and the Youth Allowance is available from Centrelink.

Fee Extensions

Any student requiring a fee extension must submit a Request for Extension of Time to Pay Fees (FE) form by no later than the due date on the Invoice/Receipt in Student Connect. Fee Extensions are only available for Semester 1 and Semester 2 fees.

Due dates for approved extensions are:

  • Semester 1: 31 March
  • Semester 2: 31 August
