Student Learning Entitlement (SLE)

If you are a Commonwealth supported student you will receive a Student Learning Entitlement (SLE) of seven years equivalent full-time study. If you hold a Commonwealth supported place, you can use this over any period of time. Length of candidature is covered in course rules, which specify the maximum period of time you may take to complete an award.

Students who have consumed all of their SLE will not be able to access a Commonwealth supported place. They may be able to access a fee-paying place.

Additional SLE

Additional SLE is available in some cases ie Honours and dual degrees.

Credit and SLE

When you apply for credit or recognition of prior learning, you do not consume SLE for any unit credited as SLE was consumed when the unit was initially undertaken.
