"I work as a classroom teacher in a remote Indigenous Catholic school. It's a very interesting community full of Indigenous culture where we still teach their first language, Murrinhpatha, as well as English. During the wet season, which encompasses five months of the year, the community is completely isolated.

Being able to share and learn about my faith and social justice while undertaking a university degree at ACU was amazing. I felt part of the University community, and enjoyed meeting so many people. It was while studying I had a chance to learn more about Indigenous populations.

Being a teacher is a privilege and ACU has inspired me to keep learning."
