"I chose to study at ACU because the smaller, friendlier, environment appealed to me and guaranteed a more personalised university experience.
ACU has allowed me to form a great network of colleagues and mentors, while also helping me develop as a young researcher into someone who is passionate and keen to make a difference in the community.
My postgraduate studies really refined my skills, and allowed me to hone in on my area of interest –cardiac physiology. The skills I’ve developed have been invaluable towards my current career.
What I love most about my job is the interaction with patients, and the uniqueness of each case that we encounter. This provides me with continual learning experiences, and a sense of contributing to the health and wellbeing of our community.
ACU also allowed me to broaden my worldliness through a cotutelle arrangement were I was able to spend one year in France at a prominent cardiac lab associated with the University of Avignon.
The prospect of moving to another country for a year to take on a PhD was daunting. But I took the leap and this has strengthened my resolve to meet future challenges head on, and give it my all."
