How would you spend your ideal day?

Waking up to a big breakfast, taking the girls swimming training, playing touch footy, taking the family to a movie, playing a gig.

In life I have learnt…

Open spaces are the best place to rejuvenate and reflect.

Something that inspires me…   

Willingness of the Aussie spirit to drop everything and pull together in times of adversity, particularly the bushfires and floods this year.

What would surprise people most about your job?

The different types of characters that I mix with.

What has been the most significant development in your field since starting your career?

The development of communication including digital radio, online tv and QR (quick response) technology.

If you could invite any five people to dinner, who would they be (and why)?

I'll say six…

My wife because shes a great party planner; Hector Thompson because of his sporting achievements and work in Indigenous communities; Michael Jackson to discuss the complexities of his music writing; Steven Spielberg to discuss camera views and inspirations; Marcia Brady to find out why I didn't ever get a date with her; Rita Robinson because she's a champion person.
