About Us
Exercise Science is one of the most dynamic areas of study in universities today. It has been offered at the Australian Catholic University (ACU National) since 1991, when the first intake of students entered the program at the North Sydney Campus (MacKillop).
In 1998, a revised degree, the Bachelor of Health Science in Human Movement was introduced simultaneously at the North Sydney Campus and Melbourne Campus (St Patrick’s). Since 2001, a Bachelor of Exercise Science program has been offered.
In 2005 Exercise Science transferred from the North Sydney Campus to the Strathfield Campus (Mount Saint Mary) providing enhanced specialist teaching and increased laboratory facilities.
Graduates from the School have moved into positions in the recreation, sport, leisure, educational and fitness industries. Many have gone on to succeed in further study both here and overseas.
