Quality

ACU National shares with universities world-wide a commitment to quality in teaching, research and community engagement.

As part of this commitment, one of our primary goals is to provide an excellent higher education experience for the entirety of our student body, through upholding the principles of free enquiry and academic integrity. In doing so, we aim to provide teaching, research and community engagement activities that are valued by our students, and the communities in which we live and work.

We strive to create an environment of support and challenge, where intellectual engagement and cognitive development occur as part of a deeper concern to help people learn - intellectually, spiritually, culturally and socially.

Having set these goals, our capacity to deliver on our promise of a quality education experience rests to a large extent on the effectiveness of our planning and quality assurance systems and processes.

Professor John O'Gorman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Quality and Engagement) is the senior officer of the University with responsibility for overseeing the University's approach to quality management.  Professor O'Gorman is responsible for coordinating the University's preparations for the next AUQA Quality Audit in 2008.
