Community engagement
The Institute of Legal Studies engages with the community, on a local, national and international level, in a number of ways.
Rich Catholic tradition
First, it engages with the community in a faith-based perspective, drawing upon a rich tradition of Catholic intellectual thought and legal scholarships.
Collaboration with community groups initiatives
The Institute is working closely with the newly established Institute for Advancing Community Engagement, to explore and implement practical ways in which it can assist and meet the University’s aims within the community. ACU National has a strong commitment to community engagement.
Free public lectures
Through it series of free annual public lectures, the Institute also aims to engage the community, by focusing on issues which are topical and of interest to the wider community, and have important social and legal implications.
