“I chose to take part in EAP as it recognised not only my academic performance, but also my heavy involvement in both my school and local community,” said the 18-year-old.

“This allowed me to secure a place at ACU whilst having my community involvement recognised.”

Hayden is really enjoying the university experience.

“I absolutely love my studies at ACU; I began at the university not knowing anyone, and have now forged strong friendships with other students from many different faculties,

“The lecturers have provided a tremendous amount of assistance in the transition to University, and the campus has a very welcoming environment.”

Hayden is enthusiastic about his future career, and he along with several other students has established a ‘Paramedic Society’, of which Hayden is the president.

“University life is very different to school life, however it is fantastic and I have loved every minute of my degree and always look forward to my studies and career as a paramedic,

“I would definitely recommend EAP to students; the early achiever's program allows community involvement to be recognised in conjunction with academic performance.”
