Year 12 Students
Australian Catholic University understands that students are worth more than their scores when it comes to their future. This program seeks students who are involved in their communities and have shown the potential to achieve great things.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be completing their Year 12 studies;
- have completed three semesters of study in Year 11 and 12 and achieved consistent, successful results;
- be able to demonstrate involvement in their school, church, local sporting, cultural or other community group, or as a volunteer or carer;
- select an Australian Catholic University course as one of their preferences when applying for admission through the relevant Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC);
- have undertaken subjects which enable them to satisfy specific entry requirements for the selected course;
- have their application supported by a statement from their school;
- complete an online application with supporting information and submit to the University before the closing date.
Supporting information must include:
- the applicant’s results in the three semesters of study completed in Years 11 and 12, signed by a school representative;
- a statement by the applicant outlining his/her community contributions;
- a statement by a senior person involved in the relevant community organisation confirming the applicant's statement of involvement;
- a statement of support from the school.
If the applicant considers that there were factors beyond his/her control which had a detrimental effect on his/her results in Years 11 and 12, a statement outlining these factors, together with supporting documentation such as a medical certificate, should also be provided.
